Back in "the day", when being out was shiny and new, i enjoyed what is now referred to as a wonderful freedom from discretion! I understand there is place for discretion but i have trouble knowing where the lines are anymore because there seem to be so many more gays with varying opinions about it. Again, back in "the day", i only knew of those who were gay and those who were not. Sort of like, those who were in the club and those who were not and did not want to be...so it was not like it was exclusive club or anything. But, now, just being gay does not mean automatic pass into "the club". It does not embrace me and take care of me the way i thought it did. I guess that was always a youthful delusion but maybe not? So, here is a question for the handicapped homosexual vlog----do you, Avery, as handicapped person ever feel like some rich folks do and think that someone might want to be with you just because you are handicapped and not because you are you? Would that be totally no go to start relationship or would it be just usual beginning. I mean there are plenty who would not want to be with you because you are handicapped but would it rule someone out if they wanted to be with you because you are handicapped?
Avery, I just got this notice that Soulforce.org released this Ray Boltz video about Equality for all and especially for gays to marry. It is uplifting video and music and I hope it gets shared alot. Here's the link for it:

I gotta say that there is not much going on this site that I can tell. I am going to stop checking it every day. So, I will check this site maybe once a week. Did you get that job you wanted Avery. The perfect one? I hope so. You are deserving of it, i can tell. I am reading His2 and The Conservative Soul by Andrew Sullivan and rereading Dancer from the Dance and books by Paul Russell.
That's odd. I left comment for you here about 2 hours ago and it did not get posted. Maybe my fault. I was telling you about stuff but because i also wrote note by e-mail, i don't remember what it was i was saying here. I know that I asked you if there was one novel you might want me to read, what would it be??
Avery, I just finished reading the drama-comedy mystery SOMEONE KILLED HIS BOYFRIEND by David Stukas. I recommend to anyone wanting a light, fun, but, at the same time, informative and enlightening book. It reminded so much of times I had in gay world. And the rather unusual position drag has in gay world. It is both respected and put down all the time. Confusing unless you truly know any drag queens. I was "brought out" by two different guys who would do drag but were not drag queens, per se. One was butch gay and one was what i would call queer gay. I miss them and gay world so much.
Avery! The library (Memphis) has just alerted me that SOMEONE KILLED HIS BOYFRIEND by David Stukas is at the Bartlett branch that is near me now. Yippee. They also have Wearing Black to the White Party which i will get next. You have quite a few pictures on here and sometimes i think I have seen them all only to see one i had not seen before. Duh.
There it is! The vlog 28 that I thought was not going to stay posted. It is worthwhile story. And before i forget let me post this here also because i think it is good quote to keep in mind at this time. I got this quote from a letter on Soulforce.org (which is where I would bequeath all my worldly goods if i had any):
"Martin Luther King, Jr. acknowledged that real change takes time; yet he also warned against the "tranquilizing drug of gradualism" and instructed the oppressed to demand equality now -- not on the convenient time schedule of those doing the oppressing.
So, as of Friday November 7, you are OK. That is a relief because i was thinking something bad had happened. I will just assume no news is good news. I just finished reading THE SHACK. I understand why so many folks appreciate it. I compare it to Perelandra and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. But, it very different and easier to read, evenso.
I am from Old Town, Maine but I am looking to talk to & meet people from all over the world. :) Feel free to message me. :) I'm 37 and I just finished my grad degree, studying Library & Information Science. I am also a wheelchair user, due to Cerebral Palsy. If you ever have any questions on disability issues (or anything else lollol) Feel free to ask me.
